With sixteen event spaces, as well as the potential to book out sections of our dining and bar facilities, we can tailor events to your specifications, including tables, podiums, special requests and more.

Many of our spaces have AV equipment in-built – including screens, sound equipment, WiFi connectivity and more. For easy zoom meetings, hybrid events and virtual conferences.

Our well-resourced kitchens and professional chefs ensure your menu is prepared to perfection and served and presented superbly. We can also accommodate a range of guest dietary requirements.

Landmark location

Wrest Point is situated beside the River Derwent in Sandy Bay, just 9 mins from Hobart, 3km from the CBD. Our location is accessible by car, ferry (from our private pier) or a short city stroll.

Tasman Room

Featuring a full theatre-style main stage, the Tasman Room comfortably accommodates gala balls, symphonies, business conferences, concerts, shows, dinners, exhibitions, meetings, and functions.

Plenary Hall

This purpose-built auditorium is suitable for keynote speakers, break-out groups, lectures, exhibitions, and presentations.

The Showroom

Australian and international entertainment royalty has performed here in The Showroom. With tiered flooring and a purpose-built stage, the room easily transitions from a rock concert stage to an intimate theatre.

Derwent Room

The Derwent Room’s classic art deco styling provides an ideal backdrop for dinners, cocktail parties, conferences and meetings.

Boardwalk Gallery

Located on the waterfront with spectacular views, the intimate Boardwalk Gallery is the perfect venue for cocktail receptions, trade exhibits, product launches, weddings, and training sessions.

Wellington Room

With mountain and marina views, the light and spacious Wellington Room is a multi-purpose venue well-suited to small and medium conferences, meetings or workshops.

Riviera Room

Perfect for intimate events, the Riviera Room is a great option for business presentations, smaller functions, or casual receptions.

Drysdale Room

Designed as a waiting room for artists performing in the Tasman Room, the Drysdale Room can also be used for small meetings, workshops and cocktail receptions.

Executive Boardroom

Ideal for business meetings, presentations, and interviews, the Executive Boardroom is a professional space that features its own servery, bar and facilities.
